SUMMARY:Holiday Fair\, Day One
DESCRIPTION:2 Days\, Friday\, November 7\, 11 to 7\, and Saturday\, November 8\, 9 to 3\nIt’s the most wonderful time of year!\nJoin us this Friday and Saturday for Murray’s annual Holiday Fair. Shop early for unique finds in Grandma’s attic\, stock up on books for the cold winter ahead\, take home cookies from our bakeshop\, and have a no-cook Friday night in the gourmet room. \nThere’s something for everyone \nFREE ADMISSION\nHere’s what to expect this Friday\, Nov 7\, 11 to 7\, and Saturday\, Nov. 8\, 9 to 3 at the Holiday Fair. There’s so much to see\, you’ll want to come both days to make sure you don’t miss anything. \nWhen you first enter the Holiday Fair\, you’ll smell the delicious food being served in Fellowship Hall. \nGourmet Café\nTurn right into Fellowship Hall for a bowl of seafood chowder\, homemade entrees\, soups\, a meatball sub\, or a hamburger. There’s a lot on the menu\, including vegetarian selections. Sit down\, have lunch or dinner\, and relax before or after shopping the fair. \nRaffles and the Christmas Tree Shoppe\nWhile in Fellowship Hall\, take a chance on the raffles; your eyes are going to pop with the variety of raffle items. You won’t be able to miss the holiday fanfare of the Christmas Tree Shoppe\, with all sorts of ornaments\, decorations\, linens\, and so much more to get your home in the holiday mood. \nLeave Fellowship Hall and go down the hall to visit the rest of our Holiday Fair. \nThrift Shop\nDown the hall on the right is the Thrift Shop\, open during both Holiday Fair days (open Saturdays 10-4 year-round) for clothing\, craft supplies\, home decor\, kitchen goods\, and more. The Thrift Shop’s mission is to promote sustainability\, serve our community\, and reduce waste. Come shop our well-cared-for secondhand goods and be a part of that mission. \nKeep going in the hallway. \nToys and Games\nFor both kids and kids at heart\, our toy room is immense – there’s something for everyone no matter what age. \nGramma’s Attic\nIt’s an extension of our Thrift Shop\, focusing mostly on home goods – whether you need new curtains\, dishes\, or a refresh on your decor\, you’re sure to find something you didn’t know you needed at Gramma’s. \nAlmost Antiques\nIf you have a taste for the vintage\, you’ll find treasures of all kinds. These beautifully cared for second-hand items are sure to catch the eye of both the collector and casual shopper alike! \nAt this point\, you may have had to make a run out to the car to drop off your purchases. \nBook Room\nBooks\, books\, and more books\, and of course CDs and DVDs. Our book room is filled to the brim with books for everyone\, from popular fiction to history\, crafts\, travel\, cooking\, and so much more. \nCraft and Gifts Room\nAcross the hall from Books is Craft and Gifts\, organized by Murray’s Clara Barton Guild. Everything is 100% handmade by Murray UU Church members and friends who work diligently year-round to create these beautiful gifts. \nBakeshop and Vendors\nAt the end of the hall is the Unity Room\, where the Bakeshop sells hundreds of dozens of fresh-baked cookies\, a wide variety of quick breads\, and frozen pies you can take home and bake for your next holiday gathering. You might actually want to stop here first\, because we virtually sell out of just about everything every year. \nUnity Room is also where we feature an awesome variety of outside vendors\, allowing local small businesses to share their passion with our shoppers.
