I think we can. It’s easy to take for granted a place like Murray. It has been around for generations. Yet\, when we look beneath the surface\, we find that it was an island of sanity all along for a people who saw the rigid Protestant and Catholic faiths around them as restrictive and controlling. A life-long caregiver\, she went on to become founder of the American Red Cross and the Barton Center for Diabetes Education in Oxford MA.
