SUMMARY:Good Trouble Lives On
DESCRIPTION:Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that\, in America\, the power lies with the people.\nOn July 17\, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing\, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble. \nJoin us at Murray UU Church from 5 to 6 pm \nIf you are interested in creating signs\, there is some white foam board in the coat racks near the kitchen.  \n\nFrom voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest\, the Trump administration is launching a full-scale attack on our civil and human rights. But we know the truth: in America\, the power lies with the people\, and we’re rising to prove it. \nThis is more than a protest; it’s a moral reckoning. A continuation of the movement Lewis helped lead\, and a new front in the struggle for freedom. \nPlease note: A core principle behind our Good Trouble Lives On actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

SUMMARY:Rise Against The Regime
DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, August 2\, 2 to 4 pm\nFiske Square\, Downtown Attleboro. Turn your frustration into fuel and let your outrage become action.\nAugust 2nd marks a pivotal National Day of Action\, uniting communities across the nation in a shared purpose: Rage Against the Regime. \nOn this day\, we come together to transform anger into action\, harnessing the energy of collective resistance. Our movement is rooted in non-violence\, but it is far from passive. We stand strong\, bold\, and unyielding\, showing the world the irresistible force of communities united against injustice. \nWe need to come together to channel our anger into purposeful\, strategic\, collective action—rage is not chaos\, it’s resolve. \nWe are not only against something; we are for justice\, dignity\, and a better future. We do not break\, nor do we break others. We build a power the regime cannot contain. \nAs always\, we will be selling stickers and collecting non-perishable\, cash and Venmo donations all going to the Hebron Food Pantry.

SUMMARY:Offering Sanctuary
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 21 \nAt our core\, we are about welcoming\, offering sanctuary to the last and the least\, and by extension\, to everyone. When we create space for those most in need of dignity and belonging\, we build a spiritual home that embraces all who enter. \nWelcome here is more than a greeting at the door; it’s a practice of justice\, compassion\, and community. To welcome the vulnerable is to affirm the worth and dignity of every person. To welcome the outsider is to widen our circle of love. And to welcome one another\, again and again\, is how we live out our shared faith. \nWe invite you to wonder with us: How do we live our welcome so no one feels like a stranger? What barriers\, seen or unseen\, can we lower so that all may enter freely? And how might this practice of welcome transform us as well? \n\nService begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. Join us in the sanctuary or log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to participate in our worship experience. Service ends at 11 a.m.\, followed by coffee and fellowship. \nWe are a certified Welcoming Congregation and Green Sanctuary

SUMMARY:Building Community
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 28 \nWe are about building community and recognizing its deep necessity. In connection with one another\, we discover not just companionship\, but the shared strength\, wisdom\, and compassion that sustain our spirits. \nCommunity can sometimes feel abstract\, but we bring it into life through participation and presence. Events like our Holiday Fair\, or committees like our Social Concerns\, turn ideas into action\, offering a chance to meet others\, explore your gifts\, and shape the life of our congregation together. \nIn coming together\, we find that community is not just something we build—it is something that builds us. \nWe invite you to reflect: How might you bring your presence\, your gifts\, and your curiosity to help our community grow stronger\, deeper\, and more connected? \n\nService begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. SUMMARY:Everyday Courage
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 5\nCourage doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s as simple as showing up for someone who needs support\, speaking a kind truth\, or taking one small step toward justice. In our Unitarian Universalist community\, we honor the quiet acts of bravery that shape our daily lives. The choices to live with integrity\, compassion\, and hope. \nWe believe that everyday courage is not about fearlessness\, but about living into our values even when the path feels uncertain. It grows when we stand together\, encourage one another\, and practice love in action. \n\nService begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. Join us in the sanctuary or log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to participate in our worship experience. SUMMARY:Finding Home On Stolen Land
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 12\nLed by Rev. Jo Murphy \nOften in Unitarian Universalist churches\, we struggle with our relationship to the land our churches sit upon. Though we work to acknowledge the land\, we don’t always follow through with indigenous solidarity. This hurts our chance at fully belonging while recognizing the complications of any home. Come explore these complications in worship and what it takes to make any land home. \nRev. Jo is the Executive Director for UU Mass Action and\, with passion and zest\, mobilizes and organizes with the many UU Mass Action campaigns. Jo is also kept busy as a chaplain at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and caring for her 1-year-old. She loves liberation\, the ocean\, and a fine chicken dinner. \n\nService begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. SUMMARY:Overcoming Fear
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 19\, 2025\nFear is something we all struggle with; there’s the fear of being alone\, not being safe\, being a burden\, being dangerous to others\, being a part of an unjust society\, or being unwell. Sometimes we are lonely\, sometimes we are not safe\, sometimes we are a burden\, maybe we were dangerous to others at times\, maybe we are a part of an unjust society\, we will not always be well\, and this causes pain. When we obsess about the pain\, because\, let’s face it\, pain takes up a lot of space in our minds\, we can really be taken for a ride. What is painful becomes a catastrophe. \nHow do we keep what is naturally painful from becoming a catastrophic event? Join us as we delve into this question as we learn better to live into it.   \n\n\n\nService begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service.
