Topic: 6 ways Religion Does More Bad Than Good

According to Valerie Tarico, there are six ways religion does more bad than good:

  2. Religion anchors believers to the Iron Age
  3. Religion makes a virtue out of faith
  4. Religion diverts generous impulses and good intentions
  5. Religion teaches helplessness
  6. Religions seek power

What do you think?
So bring a cup of coffee/tea and come speak your mind and share your views in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.

Lifelong learning

Murray Church has a rich history of meaningful and inspiring Religious Education programming for adults — discussions, workshops, and other events that contribute to spiritual growth, lifelong religious learning, and a deep understanding of the world in which we live. These activities are organized and led by our Minister, our Director of Lifespan Religious Education, and members of our church.
