Entitlements and Rights, Speak-Easy topic for March 26

Calm, clear, and collected discussions on current “hot” topics, as well as other issues from a Unitarian Universalist perspective.  We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month BEFORE regular Sunday services, from 8:45 am to 9:45 am in Harmony Hall.

In Bernie Sanders new book (2023), “It’s OK To Be Angry About Capitalism,” he lists four entitlements we have as Americans:

  • “we are entitled to healthcare as a human right”
  • “we are entitled to decent wages and working conditions”
  • “we are entitled to all the education we require to fulfill our dreams”
  • “we are entitled to live in a world that has a clean environment and is not ravaged by climate change”

What do you think?

So bring a cup of coffee/tea and come speak your mind and share your views in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.
