Seeking Luminosity

Led by Rev. F. Vern Wright V

This is the season of light, but light makes shadows; there is the shadow of grief, the shadow of anxiety, the shadow of well… just being overwhelmed.

What is the source of our luminosity? Centering on Georges De La Tour’s painting in the Louvre “Magdalene with Smoking Flame,” what would it mean to honor its more humble, gentler stuff – the wistful imagination, the restful contemplation that honors the light, however small, however dimly reflected, never alien from its source?

Service begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. Please log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to be a part of our worship experience as well.

We are a certified Welcoming Congregation and Green Sanctuary.
