Calm, clear, and collected discussions on current “hot” topics as well as other issues from a Unitarian Universalist perspective. We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month BEFORE regular Sunday services, from 8:45 am to 9:45 am in Harmony Hall at Murray Unitarian Universalist Church. The next meeting will be on January 28, 2024.

The January 28 topic is: Preparing a Child for Adult Success.

The discussion will center around a book by Richard Brown titled Finite Human Infinite Humanity, June 2023.

A few quotes from the topic section:

“New human life should be thought of as a privilege not a right.”

“It is important that children start life with a healthy set of genes- none to hold them back from achieving their highest human potential.” (gene editing)

“Principles of effective parenting should be identified and taught in secondary school so all future parents will learn them.”

“Public schools need to identify each student’s genetic predispositions.”

WOW!  Sounds like eugenics!

So bring a cup of coffee/tea and come speak your mind and share your views in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.
