The February 25th topic is:  “A Religion for the Future”

Based on a chapter from the book Reason and Reverence by William R. Murry.

Five characteristics for future religions:

  1. Affirms that human beings are an integral part of nature
  2. Affirms humankind’s responsibility to preserve and sustain the natural world
  3. Must take seriously the implications for religion of the remarkable discoveries of modern natural and human sciences
  4. Recognizes the importance of reason, reverence, and the human ability to think critically and constructively
  5. Must affirm those values that make our lives more fully human.

Is this what Murray UU Church should look forward to?

So bring a cup of coffee/tea, speak your mind, and share your views in a safe, non-threatening atmosphere.
