There’s something for everyone
FREE ADMISSION
Here’s what to expect this Friday, Nov 7, 11 to 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8, 9 to 3 at the Holiday Fair. There’s so much to see, you’ll want to come both days to make sure you don’t miss anything.
When you first enter the Holiday Fair, you’ll smell the delicious food being served in Fellowship Hall.
Gourmet Café
Turn right into Fellowship Hall for a bowl of seafood chowder, homemade entrees, soups, a meatball sub, or a hamburger. There’s a lot on the menu, including vegetarian selections. Sit down, have lunch or dinner, and relax before or after shopping the fair.
Raffles and the Christmas Tree Shoppe
While in Fellowship Hall, take a chance on the raffles; your eyes are going to pop with the variety of raffle items. You won’t be able to miss the holiday fanfare of the Christmas Tree Shoppe, with all sorts of ornaments, decorations, linens, and so much more to get your home in the holiday mood.
Leave Fellowship Hall and go down the hall to visit the rest of our Holiday Fair.
Thrift Shop
Down the hall on the right is the Thrift Shop, open during both Holiday Fair days (open Saturdays 10-4 year-round) for clothing, craft supplies, home decor, kitchen goods, and more. The Thrift Shop’s mission is to promote sustainability, serve our community, and reduce waste. Come shop our well-cared-for secondhand goods and be a part of that mission.
Keep going in the hallway.
Toys and Games
For both kids and kids at heart, our toy room is immense – there’s something for everyone no matter what age.
Gramma’s Attic
It’s an extension of our Thrift Shop, focusing mostly on home goods – whether you need new curtains, dishes, or a refresh on your decor, you’re sure to find something you didn’t know you needed at Gramma’s.
Almost Antiques
If you have a taste for the vintage, you’ll find treasures of all kinds. These beautifully cared for second-hand items are sure to catch the eye of both the collector and casual shopper alike!
At this point, you may have had to make a run out to the car to drop off your purchases.
Book Room
Books, books, and more books, and of course CDs and DVDs. Our book room is filled to the brim with books for everyone, from popular fiction to history, crafts, travel, cooking, and so much more.
Craft and Gifts Room
Across the hall from Books is Craft and Gifts, organized by Murray’s Clara Barton Guild. Everything is 100% handmade by Murray UU Church members and friends who work diligently year-round to create these beautiful gifts.
Bakeshop and Vendors
At the end of the hall is the Unity Room, where the Bakeshop sells hundreds of dozens of fresh-baked cookies, a wide variety of quick breads, and frozen pies you can take home and bake for your next holiday gathering. You might actually want to stop here first, because we virtually sell out of just about everything every year.
Unity Room is also where we feature an awesome variety of outside vendors, allowing local small businesses to share their passion with our shoppers.
