The Life & Genius of Walt Disney
Feb. 9 at 6:30 pm in the Unity Room
Presented by Tom and Sandy Stuart
Walt Disney’s impact on American culture began in the 1920s and continues today. Sandy and Tom Stuart are presenting 3 examinations of the work of Disney. Friday, Feb. 9 is the first of three showings. It includes his early life, his development as an artist, and the films Steamboat Willie, The Orphan’s Benefit (introducing Donald Duck), and the 1937 production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
In 1937, you’d have to pay 23 cents to see these movies. Here at Murray Church: Free! You’ll still have to pay the ’37 price of 10 cents for a bag of popcorn. (Sorry!) Join us on the 9th at 6:30 PM in the Unity Room. For kids ages 10 and up.
Save these dates as well, February 23 and March 8
We will explore the work of Walt Disney on these Fridays.
