How things have changed in Hollywood! Latinos were once limited to roles as bandits, exotic dancers, and anonymous foreigners. Over the decades, things changed. Icons like Rita Moreno and Edward James Olmos, fueled by the social movements of the ’60s and ’70s, opened the doors to a more authentic presence on the screen.

Join our Murray friends for an eye-opening movie and lively conversation, as we are reminded of actors and filmmakers we know, and introduced to those we haven’t met yet, as we see more deeply how the movies we watch have shaped how we imagine the world we live in. (Expect at least a couple of “Ah ha!” moments!)
