On Solitude

Spending time alone can give us time for reflection and peace, but it can be hard to find in days full of long hours at work, family responsibilities, and never-ending “to-do” lists. Henry Thoreau “went into the woods” to live on his own at Walden Pond, but he didn’t have to do his own laundry. Most of us may not be able to retreat to a cabin, but we can still find ways to create solitude in our daily lives.
