Love and Consciousness
Led by Rev. Vernon F. Wright V
Consciousness is one of the more fascinating frontiers of science and spirituality. From a scientific perspective, how can a perception of the self exist? How much of the animal and plant kingdom has consciousness? What are the implications of consciousness from a quantum experience? How does complexity theory contribute to a theory of consciousness? From a spiritual perspective, drawing from Hindu, Buddhist, Judeo-Christian, and Islamic sources, what is “pure consciousness” or “God consciousness” often experienced by meditators and contemplatives?
Of course, the greatest question of all is
- How, in this rather stressful world, can our consciousness become more integral and loving?
- How might we help liberate consciousness?
Join us this Sunday as we tackle these larger questions.
Service begins at 10 a.m. This is a hybrid service. Join us in the sanctuary or log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to be a part of our worship experience. Service ends at 11 a.m. followed by coffee and fellowship.
