Winter Solstice Celebration

The Winter Solstice is the time when the ancients believe that the sun stood still, followed by the longest night of the year. The cold and darkness can be a time for quiet contemplation followed by a celebration of the return of the sun, warmth, and new beginnings. Join us for an interactive drumming and meditation service.

This service will be led by David Curry, Monica Staaf and the Religious Services Committee. UU Dave Curry, the founder of Drums for One and All, has been leading drum circles and performing at UU churches, festivals, and other venues for nearly twenty years, including the Free Drum and Spirit Drum. Dave’s spiritual approach to drumming ranges from meditative drum and chant at an ashram to high energy music.

Worship is at 10 am Sunday mornings. If you are eligible for the vaccine, but unvaccinated, or are not comfortable gathering in person at this time, please plan to log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to be a part of our worship experience.
