Gifts from the Heart

Christmas is one week away. How many of us still have some gifts to buy, wrap and mail, or stash under the tree? There can be a lot of stress around gift giving this time of year. We agonize about finding the perfect gift for everyone on our list. We agonize over whether our gifts are “good enough.” After all, TV ads bombard us with images of loving family members exchanging expensive luxury items for the holidays. But who can afford that? Recognizing the excesses and abuses of the holiday season, what if we gave gifts from the heart? Think back and make a list of the nicest gifts you ever received. The answers might surprise you and might just reprioritize the kinds of gifts you want to give to others. Our children, youth and teens will offer a holiday pageant this morning.

Worship is at 10 am Sunday mornings. If you are eligible for the vaccine, but unvaccinated, or are not comfortable gathering in person at this time, please plan to log on to Zoom from the comfort and safety of your own home to be a part of our worship experience.
