Standing on the Side of Love: Protecting Reproductive Rights
This Sunday, our service will focus on the urgent issue of protecting reproductive rights. We will hear from Monica Staaf and three clinic escorts who bravely stand on the front lines to ensure access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion.
The Fight for Reproductive Rights
Reproductive rights are under attack across the country. Misinformation, restrictive laws, and harassment at clinics create barriers to essential healthcare. Clinic escorts play a vital role in ensuring that patients can access care safely and with dignity.
Our Shared Values
As Unitarian Universalists, we are called to stand on the side of love and justice. Our values of interdependence, equity, and generosity compel us to support the fundamental right of individuals to make their own reproductive choices.
Join Us
Please join us this Sunday to hear the powerful stories of these dedicated individuals and learn how we can all take action to protect reproductive rights. Following the service, there will be a discussion in the John Murray room for those who wish to continue the conversation.
Reflective Questions
- How do our UU values guide us to respond to the challenges facing reproductive rights today?
- What role can each of us play in ensuring that all people have access to the reproductive healthcare they need?
- How can we create a more just and equitable world where everyone’s reproductive choices are respected and supported?
