“A Love Letter to Your Body”

Our bodies – those unique biological vessels that enable us to think, to move, to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to laugh, to sing, to experience the wonder of the world, including the unique and precious wonder of another human being. We have the gift of a body we have been given, entrusted to care for, at whatever level of strength and limitations it provides. My colleague Meg Riley reminds us, it’s only by living within those bodies that we grow our souls. The UU poet Walt Whitman reminds us, “if anything is sacred, the human body is sacred.”  Let’s explore gratitude for the gift of our precious, embodied physical lives.
