“Pray for One Good Humiliation a Day”

Author Richard Rohr, a Catholic priest, suggests we consider praying for one good humiliation a day to counter the negative impact of our well-defended egos. For it is our humility, our vulnerability, that moves us closer to the heart of what it means to be human. Humility and vulnerability are transforming. Professor Brene Brown suggests, “Vulnerability offers us a way into the meaning of our lives. Vulnerability is the core, the heart, the center of meaningful human experience.“ Most of us construct walls to prevent feelings of vulnerability.  What if we learned to embrace humility and vulnerability?  What might they teach us?
