“Darest Thou Now O’ Soul”

The Life and Poetry of Walt Whitman

Let’s explore the life and poetry of Walt Whitman, an integral part of the Unitarian intellectual life around Concord in the mid-1800s.  His friendships included Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Margaret Fuller, the Alcott family, and many more Transcendentalists.

The service will feature some original music written by our own Tom Stuart, based on some of Whitman’s poems.
