“In Celebration of Silence”

From the ancient mystics to those who meditate today as a spiritual practice, people have sought the sanctuary of silence as an invitation to quiet the mind and journey inward to connect with that deepest part of the self.  In a world buzzing with ongoing sound, silence can be a calming, healing balm, a path towards wholeness.  Our worship will feature a short video that captures the stillness of nature recorded in a place far away from human noise.  Acoustic ecologist Gordon Hempton, who recorded the video, reminds us, it’s in silence we can hear the presence of everything.
