Over the Soul by Ralph Waldo EmersonLook to the Soul of the Whole

Led by Rev. Vern Wright V

Lately, I have been looking to the seminal and lyrical essay “The Over-Soul,” by Ralph Waldo Emerson. “What we commonly call man, the eating, drinking, planting, counting man, does not, as we know him, represent himself, but misrepresents himself. Him we do not respect, but the soul, whose organ he is, would he let appear through his action, would make our knees bend.”

In this work, I find a prophet, who would make of all people, prophets. Come explore with me the edges of language, as we consider the interconnected depth of being and the challenge of becoming, as we unfetter the source and wade into its current.
